12 small pieces (in the  original for two Bassetthorns) of cheerful contemplative character,  which are surely an enrichment for the cello-bass literature  For the  better execution on the double-bass the pieces have been transposed from  F Major to G major. Because the double-bass sounds an octave deeper  than notated the original ratio of the two voices to each other was kept  by putting up the double bass voice one octave. Often the double-bass  has to be played in thumb position but the voice isn't extremely serious  at this anyway and completes himself wonderfully with the cello voice.
